ABSTRACT:
Cleome gynandra leaf is a traditional leafy vegetable used in Africa and Asia. It provides important minerals and vitamins, which help improve both the diet and income of poor communities. When looking at all the known qualities of Cleome gynandra, it seems like it could be a good medicine in the future. The plant has essential minerals, the ability to fight harmful free radicals, and high levels of polyphenols. These features make it a possible option for an antidiabetic drug. This review article covers many well-known uses of Cleome gynandra as a medicinal plant. It mentions important qualities like boosting the immune system, fighting harmful substances, preventing cancer, and helping with pain. Considering all these properties, Cleome gynandra might be a valuable medicine in the future. The article also discusses how its minerals, ability to remove harmful free radicals, and high polyphenol content could make it a good candidate for treating diabetes. India alone it used the traditional healers for many diseases.
