Evaluation of antimotility effect of Plumbago indica (L.) on Charcoal Induced Gastrointestinal Motility in Mice

Evaluation of antimotility activity was done in intestine of mice treated with methanolic extract of Plumbago indica L. (MEPI).Charcoal was used as a promotility agent. The antimotility activity with the mean defecation period 302.2 and 376.4min at the dose of 250 and 500mg/kg body weight.
